More Snow Coming!

Dear Friends:

More snow is on the way! The Department of Transportation is working around the clock to treat the streets, and will be out in force to plow our roadways around 2am. Here is the City's snow plan this time around.

And please note! Trash and Recycling is Canceled for tomorrow (Thursday). Make up day is Saturday. Here is the announcement from the Department of Public Works.

BGE just sent out a notice to contact them about any outages. Heavy snow could impact our power lines. Go to their website to report outages or call 877-778-2222. Here is their announcement.

We built a little snow person during the last storm, we'll likely be able to build a bigger one this time.

And here are my snow day reminders:

·     If you need assistance, please call 311 first and get that confirmation number for any issues you are having including salting of streets or plowing. Then call our office on 410-396-4814 or email me on odette.ramos@baltimorecity.gov with that confirmation number so we can help escalate the situation.

·     Pre-treat your walkways and sidewalks now.

·     Unless you are an essential worker, please do not drive in the snow so that our snow crews are able to work on the streets effectively.

·     If you have to commute tomorrow morning, give yourself time to clean the snow and to travel.

·     When the snow dissipates please shovel your walkway. Homeowners and renters are responsible for shoveling walkways. If your neighbor is an older adult or otherwise needs assistance, please shovel their sidewalks and walkways.

Enjoy the snow but be careful!
