Snow Alert - Possible 3-6 inches Feb 7th

Dear Friends:

The Department of Transportation has announced it is moving forward on snow preparation for the possible 3-6 inches of snow we could get tomorrow, Sunday, February 7, 2021.

I'm not really ready for snow again either, but here we are. Please note that temperatures are set to fall significantly so we will get ice.

Here are a few reminders:

  • Pre-treat your walkways and sidewalks now.

  • Unless you are an essential worker, please do not drive in the snow so that our snow crews are able to work on the streets effectively.

  • When the snow dissipates please shovel your walkway. Homeowners and renters are responsible for shoveling walkways. If your neighbor is an older adult or otherwise needs assistance, please shovel their sidewalks and walkways.

Please call 311 first and get that confirmation number for any issues you are having including salting of streets or plowing. Then call our office on 410-396-4814 or email me on odette.ramos@baltimorecity.gov with that confirmation number so we can help escalate the situation.

Here is a really interesting and helpful website that also has an update on snow preparation.

Here is a link to the City's Snow Plan for your information.

Enjoy the Snow!
