Testify in support of City College students going to University of Baltimore
Baltimore City College High School’s building is going under renovations starting the fall of 2025 as part of the 21st Century Schools. This means that students will not be able to be in the castle (building) while renovations are happening. Initially, the proposed swing space was Thurgood Marshall - an old unused school building. However, there were multiple concerns with this location including heat/air condition system issues and transportation difficulties because the location is not accessible.
After these concerns were expressed, City College was able to have an agreement with the University of Baltimore to have their campus be the swing location. However, it now seems that the school board might not agree with University of Baltimore being the swing location for our City College students.
We are requesting your help to testify! Urge the School Board to support our students going to the University of Baltimore during renovations.
The School Board will be meeting Tuesday, May 28th at 5pm at their district headquarters on 200 E. North Avenue.
