Housing Tip of the Week and Ramos’ Statement
Please see my statement below on the removal of homeowners from tax sale. I am grateful to the Mayor and the Board of Estimates for making the correct decision on this matter. However, the debt must still be paid even if a homeowner was removed. If you or someone you know is dealing with this issue, please contact our office. Homeowner’s Property Tax Credit: The deadline for that program is October, so it will help you for next year’s taxes and if you are over 70 years old can be retroactive.
