Inland Flooding hearing Feb 24

On Wednesday, the Health, Environment and Technology Committee of the City Council held a hearing on legislation I introduced asking DPW, Planning, Office of Sustainability, and the Office of Emergency Management to come before us to talk about the issue of Inland Flooding. This is of particular interest to me because we have some major flooding areas including 35th and Hillen Road where the bus was stuck. That was not the first time that happened, it has been happening for decades. Here is my testimony.

It was a great conversation and I’m thrilled that 35th and Hillen will get the much needed attention it deserves.

On the Initiatives tab you will see more information about this issue and we will continue the meetings and conversations about this.
