One Year in Office!
Dear Friends:
December 10th marked my One Year Anniversary of being sworn in to the Baltimore City Council.
It is the honor of my lifetime to serve as your Baltimore City Councilwoman for the 14th District.
We have produced a video with some of the highlights from this past year. Click here for the video. I am also extremely proud of our accomplishments this year:
We passed four pieces of legislation that work toward reforming our predatory Tax Sale system. While more work needs to be done at the local and state level, together with the Mayor's Office we are on our way to full reform of this system. Here is my list of all the legislation we passed and introduced.
We highlighted the major ongoing flooding issues on 35th and Hillen Road. Now DPW, City, and State partners are on our way to getting a long term, effective solution.
We continue to advocate for traffic calming.
We worked with so many of you to resolve issues in your neighborhoods including illegal dumping, missed trash/recycling, parking issues, parks and trees concerns and so much more.
Thank You!
A Big Thank You to:
My District 14 staff - Cindy, Gabe, and Yaslin for the incredible work they do for our District and our City.
My colleagues for the amazing work we continue to do together.
My husband John and my daughter Teresa for their love and for supporting me through this job that is so important.
And finally, thanks to all of you for your confidence and trust. Please continue to contact our office with any concerns you have, we are here to serve you.
