Introducing 23-0373 to create payment plans for taxes in arrears

This evening I am introducing legislation to create payment plans for residents who have been pulled from the tax sale who have taxes in arrears. Last year, the City Council passed legislation to create payment plans for people to pay their current taxes each month. That initiative will be implemented on July and an announcement is coming soon. This legislation is for people who are in arrears to help them pay the balance owed. This is part of the tax sale reform initiatives we have been undertaking as part of the Mayor’s Tax Sale Task Force. More to come!
