Apply to Represent the 14th District on the Police Accountability Board - Deadline 7/25
Recently, the Baltimore City Council passed legislation creating the Police Accountability Board (PAB) which will replace the Civilian Review Board to hold police officers accountable for misconduct. This is in response to legislation passed in the General Assembly on police reform. This Board will receive misconduct complaints and relay them to the proper authorities, conduct investigations on misconduct, and provide feedback on actions to be taken to address police misconduct. Under the Baltimore City PAB, each member of the City Council gets to nominate one person to the Mayor, who will ultimately appoint each member. We get one representative from our district. Several of you have already written that you are interested in this position. We are running an application and interview process for the nominee from our district.
If you are interested in applying, here are the requirements:
Baltimore City resident
at least 21 years of age
NOT a current or former law enforcement officer
NOT a city or state employee
has NOT been charged with a felony that had a sentence of 5 years or more
Here is the application. Please apply by July 25th, 2022.
