Ramos tests positive for COVID
On Sunday, July 24th, I tested positive for COVID. I do have symptoms - I feel like I have a very bad cold. I am fully vaccinated and boosted, am taking treatment medication, and I am confident I will be fine in a few days. So far, my husband and daughter do not show any symptoms and have tested negative. We continue to follow the Baltimore City Health Department guidelines to prevent spreading and to ensure I recover quickly.
Because of this, I will not be at the City Council meeting this evening. All votes need to be cast in person during Council meetings, and I am still in isolation. I appreciate my colleagues who will be presenting the elections irregularities resolution in my stead. This also means I will miss the votes on the Office of the Inspector General Advisory Board Charter Amendment. While I’m very upset I’ll miss this vote, I am grateful to all of my colleagues who worked with me on this Charter Amendment to get it right. I am confident it will pass and get to the next step. Voters will have the final say in November.
Thank you for all the well-wishes.
