Housing Tip of the Week

The EPA and Maryland Department of the Environment is requiring Baltimore City and Baltimore County to test the pipes from the main water line to the homes for lead pipes. While DPW will do the inspections, they are asking residents to do a simple test to determine if your water service pipes are lead. If they are, you can call 311 for further testing and abatement. Moreover, the data is really important to collect, whether or not you have lead pipes. Click here to see how you can test if your pipes are lead.
