Housing Upgrades to Benefit Seniors program gets a boost

Last week, I joined Mayor Scott in announcing increased funding for Housing Upgrades to Benefit Seniors Program (HUBS). This program is a partnership of several organizations, including Civic Works and Keswick which are in our district, to provide home repairs for Older Adults. This is an excellent way to help our older adults age in place comfortably, they deserve it!

The new funding includes $3million from the Affordable Housing Trust Fund, one of the reasons we created the Affordable Housing Trust Fund is for this purpose! The total funding is $9.6million from various sources.

To apply for the program to get repairs to your home, you must be 65 or older, and earn a certain income. Click here to get more information and to sign up!
